I hate to admit it, but I’ve been holding out. Sorry. I’ve been sitting on some really good flicks for the past two weeks, including a boxcar bonanza Sunday and some other pretty good stuff. I didn’t even think about editing them until last night when I locked myself to the computer and went on a marathon photo session. Sometimes being sick and stuck in the house can be a good thing.
But enough talk, it’s business time.

I had some stuff to post, but apparently never did, even though I could’ve sworn that I had. More flicks are coming, I’ve just been so lazy in photoshop/busy lately that I haven’t dealt with them yet.

Here’s what I’ve got from the past week. My birthday is tomorrow (Saturday, Halloween) and I’m really hoping for some good boxcars as my present from the WSOR.

Just a handful of photos for this post. Not a whole lot and some crappy looking flicks too since one day I went down to the yard and the batteries in my camera died, so some of these photos were taken with my video camera. It’s only 2 mega pixels so the quality is very low. But…you gotta do what you gotta do.
This first photo is the very definition of improper trackside etiquette:

Photo shoots on boxcars are never appropriate. I don’t care how “hot” the girls are. But it was pretty funny when two CP engines came up to grab this string of cars and gave these bozos quite the jolt. They scampered off pretty quick after that!

I’ve complained about the weather and early nightfall enough, so I won’t anymore. Here are some flicks:

This has been one of the slowest two week spans ever. Maybe not ever, but boy does it feel like it.
The rails have quiet due to track work at the WSOR yard and when there is activity, there’s nothing but coal hoppers and tankers. And we know how I feel about that. I’ve been jonesing for a good string of boxcars, but have yet to have my craving satisfied. I’ll still keep holding on, and hopefully the WSOR and I can get over this rough patch, resume our love affair, and get back on track.
And with that, the first post of October is going to be a little on the smaller side. As I always say, let’s hope for a better weekend. Let’s also hope that the cold that has been plaguing me will go away so I can get out more.

I really wish it would stop raining and the sun would come out. Of course, when it does stop raining, it stays so dreary and foggy and gross. There was a day where we had some sun, but otherwise it’s been nothing but gray. And it looks like more rain this weekend, but hopefully I can catch a window of dryness to hit the trails for more flicks. Welcome to Autumn I guess.
Here’s about a week’s worth of photos for you.

I haven’t done a Catch Of The Week for awhile so I felt it was long overdue. Lucky for me, I’ve got two great pieces for this installment.
The first is a nice end to end on a Cryo-Trans reefer. I saw this on my first morning trip to the yard after being out of commission for about a week. A very good way to start things off.
