Sunday was a little quieter, but I got a few nice flicks and met a train on the way out of the yard. It was a good way to finish off an otherwise great weekend.

Oh! Hi there!

Later in the day, on my way home from running errands with a friend, we cruised by the yard and I saw that an engine had it’s light’s up and looked like it was getting set to do some stuff. After I dropped all my stuff off at home and chilled for a few minutes, I headed back out just in time to see WSOR 4007 getting ready to head out. So I stopped and waited. And waited. And waited.

I did a lot of pacing right here.

While waiting I noticed a gentleman about 100 yards away on the other side of the tracks, also waiting. At first I thought he was just a cyclist taking a break, but when I saw the camera come out, I knew that he was a railfan too. I went over and introduced myself and was glad to make the acquaintence of Bob. We chatted about trains and the yard for a bit, and exchanged contact info. Very nice man and it was cool to meet someone else out and about, waiting on a train to go by. Finally the crew was all ready to go and I whipped around to my favorite spot to catch some video.
