AUIYNHYG would like to take a moment to mourn the loss of fellow explorer and graffiti lover Ian Talty. Ian was from Woodbury and passed this weekend while taking photos in a tunnel after he was washed into the Mississippi River by a sudden rush of rain water.
You Can’t Fade Me Edition.
Thursday was a pretty chill day, and after getting up early for a root canal I decided to just roll around the neighborhood and catch up on my old route. Mostly just tags, and I’m sure some have been there forever, but they were new to me yesterday.
Inspiration.
I seriously can’t wait to get my hands on the 25th Anniversary Edition of Subway Art by Henry Chalfant and Martha Cooper. When I first started talking pictures of graffiti and started to become even more interested in photography during that time, this book inspired me so much.
Incidentals Volume 3: Stalemate Edition.

Some More Odds, Some More Ends.
Rainy Sundays and too busy Saturdays suck. This is all I got for right now.
Cold Chillin’ Edition.
More reefer surprises at the yard, but a few regulars first.
The Resurrection Edition.
Opal and I hit the streets for our first real ride in awhile. It being Easter and all, the paths were pretty low traffic and the streets were pretty quiet. The sun was shining and despite the fact that I had to ride into 10-15mph winds most of the time, it was a pleasant day.
Between The Seasons Edition.
The Vernal Equinox was 23 days ago and I’m starting to wonder if real Spring is ever going to come. Temperatures have been hanging around the low 50s and 40s and although there are some flowers (mostly pre-planted daffodils and crocus), it hardly feels like spring.
R.I.P.
Don’t panic, no one died. But it’s hard to believe that after lord knows how many years of ridin’, the big TYC on the rail bridge over the Yahara River has finally been painted over.
Odds ‘n’ Ends.
Just a few things from the past couple of weeks.
